12th Annual Hops and Vines Charity Classic: An Incredible Night to Raise your Glass for Orange County Nonprofits
We are closing in on the 12th Annual Charity Classic, Hops & Vines, so I wanted to share the details of this amazing night coming up on September 27th, from 6-9pm.
Hops & Vines is a highly anticipated annual event that will feature more than 30 award-winning wineries and world-class craft beers, as well as mouthwatering hors d’oeuvres. This year we are raising funds for our featured beneficiary, Orange County School of the Arts, as well as Augie’s Quest to Cure ALS, and the ClubCorp Employee Care Foundation.
This evening of fun and fundraising is held at the Center Club of Orange County, a private club founded by heralded Henry T. Segerstrom; it is also Center Club’s signature event and is one of the few times the club is open to the public.
Center Club’s Executive Chef Lewis Butler will be tantalizing your taste buds with a Cheese and Chartcuterie Station, a Raw Bar featuring king crab legs, oysters, and smoked salmon Poke bowls,aFood Truck Station featuring Korean short rib tacos, bacon jam grilled cheese, and so much more that makes my mouth water! When you’re ready for dessert, get ready for homemade Dippin’ Dots, chocolate butterscotch cupcakes, a donut wall, and plenty more sweet treats.
Central to our Hops & Vines theme, are, of course, the wine and craft beer. Sip on plenty of wine favorites, including DAOU, Rodney Strong, J. Lohr, Duckhorn, and Ste. Michelle Wine Estates. And if you’re more of a hops person, there will be over 30 local craft beer choices for your enjoyment.
Entertainment will include a number of extremely talented Orange County School of the Arts students who will be performing around the Club during the event, including some smooth saxophone music at the entry, a jazz quartet and more music that I know you will love!
We are very excited to bring Orange County together at Hops & Vines to support these incredibly worthy causes:
Orange County School of the Arts
OCSA is not just about educating talented students to become future artists; it is about providing a thriving, dynamic school environment that graduates highly engaged, creative students with the imagination to find solutions to today’s complex problems. Young leaders who study at this premier public charter school are well-equipped for meaningful, successful lives in the 21st century at the college of their choice and in any career they choose.
Approximately 200 of the school’s students live below the national poverty level and about 25% are in need of some financial assistance to help with the costs of their arts training.
The school is accessible to students from diverse backgrounds, giving many of them a strong path to college and a professional career beyond, which they might not otherwise have. Students who don’t always fit in a traditional school model find their “tribe” at OCSA, a nurturing place where they can be celebrated as unique individuals, bond with like-minded, equally-motivated peers, grow, learn and thrive.
Augie’s Quest is dedicated to finding treatments and cures for ALS. Founded by Augie Nieto, known for his role in shaping today’s fitness world as the co-founder and CEO of Life Fitness, Augie’s Quest leverages Augie’s long-standing relationships in the fitness industry and global business community to operate like a highly successful business accountable for results.
Every dollar raised through Augie’s Quest to Cure ALS is dedicated to driving the innovative science happening at the ALS Therapy Development Institute (ALS TDI). While they are laser focused on curing ALS, the hope is that research leads to medical advancements for all neurodegenerative diseases.
